ExxonMobil Iraq Nitrogen Generation Support Project

2026/10/23

Industry: Overseas oil and gas exploration and development; oilfield production and operations.

Previous gas supply method: Liquid nitrogen was used; operating conditions in the field were harsh, with risks associated with flammable and explosive oil and gasification.

Equipment procured: 42 Nm³/h membrane separation nitrogen generator with 97% purity.

Technical Advantages: The membrane separation equipment features a simple structure, is resistant to wind and sand, and withstands temperature fluctuations, making it well-suited to on-site oilfield environments; it supports 24-hour continuous operation with flexible start-up and shutdown, making it suitable for discontinuous gas demand; on-site nitrogen generation eliminates the need for liquid nitrogen or gas cylinders, thereby saving on long-distance transport costs; it meets the requirements for pipeline purging and tank inerting, thereby eliminating the potential risk of oil and gas explosions; it is simple to operate and maintain, and gas supply is not restricted by external gas sources.
